10th-12th Exams To Be Conudcted Twice In A Year From Next Session: There is big news for the students of class 10th and 12th. From the next session i.e. 2025-26, board examinations will be conducted twice a year. In case of appearing for the exam twice, only their best score will be considered final. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced board exams twice a year during a program. Some time back, in an interview, he had also said that the candidates will have the option to appear in whichever examination they want. If they want to give the exam once then give it once, if they want to give it twice then give it twice. If you are satisfied with taking the exam once, then do not appear in the exam the second time.
I will get one more chance
The only purpose of conducting board exams twice a year is to reduce exam stress on children. If they do not feel prepared during an exam then they can skip the exam. Along with this, if the papers are not good once or they feel that they can do better then they can take advantage of the opportunity they get again.
There will be changes under NEP
Regarding this, the Education Minister said that one of the goals of the National Education Policy 2020 is to reduce the stress on students. Under this, from the next session i.e. year 2025-26, the examinations of class 10th and 12th will be conducted twice a year.

It was announced last year in the New Curriculum Framework that board exams will be held twice a year so that students have ample opportunity and time to do well in the examination. They can keep their best score. The Education Minister was speaking at a program on the occasion of the inauguration of the PM Shri Scheme in Chhattisgarh.
